Course Objective

To present a critical and analitical perspective about political socialisation and mass movements.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To form a conceptual framework about social movements.
2   To have information about emerging periods on social movements and determinings about this periods.
3   To have information about the actors of social movements and the methods.
4   To present some country cases which can be samples about social movements.
5   As a output of the works have done, to give a critical and analytical perspective related with lessons subjects.

3 Classical period at social movement theories: Crowds and Relative Deprivation.
4 1970 s and post-1970 s in social movement theories. Resource Mobilisation Theory and Political Process Approach, New Social Movement Approach.
5 New movements and interpretations in social movement theories..
6 The actors of social movements.

9 Circles of social movements and the diffusion of social movements.
10 Within the framework of emerging periods of social movements and their diffusions, to analyse Tunusia, Egypt and other North African experiences.
