Course Objective

The effects of the economic and social structure of the globalization process is required in the transformation of the political and administrative structures Developing new approaches with globalization in the construction of state affects the Turkish public administration.The aim of this course is to analyze and understand new approaches in Public Administration which includes governance, good governance, privatization, decentralization and localization is results of the globalization process.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to learn description and theories of globalization
2   Being able to learn the dynamics of the globalization process and effects of from the agricultural revolution to the industrial revolution
3   Being able to explain the impacts of globalization on socio-economic structure and neo-liberal policies and concept of welfare state
4   Being able to learn the impacts of globalization on social, political structure and public administration, to know new approaches in Public Administration
5   Being able to explain concepts of globalization, state and downsizing of the state
