Course Objective

The purpose of this course, to teach, the problems of biosafety, biosecurity and biotechnology applications, laboratory biosafety guidelines, waste management, recording data, national and international regulations, bioethics, medicine, environmental and genetic areas bioethical issues.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will have detailed information on Biosafety issues
2   Discuss biosafety issues associated with biotechnology applications
3   Identify risk groups and biosafety levels
4   To obtain information on waste management and applications in laboratory
5   Discuss with the Turkish and international standards of biosafety regulations
6   Define ethical theories and methods corresponding to Bioethics.
7   To interpret important ethical issues in medicine, the environment and problems in the areas of genetic
