Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to bring the skill of managing the care of the adult individual having a complex health problem with a scientific and holistic approach

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have expert-level knowledge regarding the management of acute and chronic diseases.
2   Solve the health problems of the adult individual with acute and chronic diseases by cooperating with different disciplines.
3   Present the case samples, whose care she/he manages in the field of internal diseases nursing, to groups inside and outside of the field in a written, verbal and visual way.
4   Follow the evidence-based studies that are performed for the field of internal diseases nursing and up-to-date knowledge and share the results with health care teams.
5   Become aware of health problems of the society by pursuing social, scientific, cultural and ethical values.

Assessment Criteria

Presentation skill of the student, her/his preparation to the subject and participation in discussions will be assessed as the midterm exam.
Her/his presentation of the case study as a report, which is based on evidence/resource on a certain subject, will be assessed as homework.
The skills of interpretation, decision making, explanation and knowledge combination will be assessed in the final exam
