Course Objective

Acquire the basic knowledge about otorhinolaryngology

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be knowledgeable in the area of basic anatomy and physiology of ear, nose and throat
2   Be knowledgeable in the area of common auditory pathologies
3   Describe, perform and interpret all otological diagnostic tests
4   Know what signs may indicate middle or external ear pathologies
5   Describe, perform diapozon tests and interpret results
6   Be knowledgeable in the diagnosis and treatment of common inner ear pathologies (Meniere s, Otosclerosis, presbiacusis, etc.)
7   Understand how audiometric results can help provide differential diagnosis of common auditory disorders
8   Be knowledgeable in the area of pathophysiology of acute vertigo
