Course Objective

The aim of this course is to understand the basic knowledge of planning and performing oncologic research in each step. Ethic concerns, special points of cancer cell culture studies, planning experimental animal cancer models, biobanking rules in oncology, types of research commonly used in oncology is planned to be tought.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   . Capable of understanding ethic concerns in oncology
2   Be able to plan a cancer cell culture research in oncology
3   Be able to plan a experimental animal model research in oncology.
4   Be able to take, store and use biologic materials in oncology.
5   Be able to identify the value and using methods of epidemiology and statistics in oncology.
6   Be able to understand stages of an oncologic research in multidiscipliner groups

Assessment Criteria

Learning outcomes will be assessed with classical questions of mid-term and final exams. The homework on the topic of reading and evaluating 5 different types of papers will help in evaluating the learner understood the topics or not.
