Course Objective

The aim of this course is to understand the factors which contribute to carcinogenesis by viral, chemical and physical carcinogenic agents and concepts, mechanisms, and to provide information on the steps of the formation of cancer.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Capable of understanding the biological differences and characterization of molecular biologic features came from viral, physical and chemical carcinogenic agents effective in carcinogenesis.
2   Be able to explain relationship cancer development with different carcinogenic agents
3   Be able to know and learn viral carcinogenic agents and their roles in carcinogenesis.
4   Be able to know and learn chemical carcinogenic agents and their roles in carcinogenesis.
5   Be able to know and learn physical carcinogenic agents and their roles in carcinogenesis.
6   Be able to understand the molecular characteristics and terms of stages of carcinogenesis and carcinogenesis related genes and clinical image.

Assessment Criteria

Learning outcomes will be assessed with classical questions of final exams. The homework on the topic of molecular mechanisms of special cancers related to viral, chemicals and physical agents will help in evaluating the learner understood the topics or not.
