Course Objective

To understand the main purposes of finance function in firms and to approach the application areas.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ranks the finance function's basic roles. 2   Differentiates finance function versus other business functions. 3   Categorizes the short term, mid term and long term financial liabilities. 4   Calculates the time value of money and interest. 5   Calculates the capital cost in firms.
