Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to achieve a necessary understanding of the transition from a state to an empire of the Ottomans and its expansion politics.

1   The expansion politics of the Ottoman Empire in the New Age
2   The geographic characteristic of the expansion politics of the Ottoman Empire in the New Age
3   The position of the Ottoman Empire in the balance of power in Europe in the 15th and 16th centuries
