Course Objective

To teach basic and current issues concerning to monetary policy both Turkey and related countries by original and current literature.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand theoretical foundations of monetary policy.
2   To be able to learn monetary strategies and theoretical relations behind them
3   To be able to analyze goals of monetary policies in the light of developments in Central Banking
4   To be able to evaluate recent develpoments in monetary policy
5   To be able to follow debates of heterodox economic approaches about monetary policy
