Course Objective

The purpose of this lesson is to provide an introduction to Turkish Social Security System and to describe the rights and duties of civil servants and employees under the norms of Social Security and Universal Health Insurance Law no.5510, EU and ILO.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have the ability to describe the basic concepts of social security.
2   To have the ability to be familiar with the national & international principles.
3   To have the ability to discuss problems related to civil servants and employees in the light of local and foreign court decisions.
4   To have the ability to apply the legal provisions of Turkish legislation on social security problems of civil servants and employees.
5   To have the ability to create solutions to the problems faced by civil servants and employees

6 Work accident and occupational diseases insurance under the Act no.5510
7 Mid-term exam
8 Sickness insurance under the Act no.5510
9 Maternity insurance under the Act no.5510
10 Invalidity insurance under the Act no.5510
11 Old-age insurance under the Act no.5510
12 Survivors insurance under the Act no.5510
