Course Objective

The course aims to enable the students understand the individual s relation with the
natural and social environment at the ever-changing historical process, by focusing on
the individual and family within the historical process.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to perform a general analysis on lifestyles of the Turks within the
2   To be able to discourse on the faith and religious practices adopted by the Turks
3   To be able to discuss about what kind of transformation the Turks have undergone concerning the customs and traditions during their interaction with the West
4   To be able to compare the inter-civilizational changes from past to present
5   To be able to examine the changes stemmed from the modern-day immigration
