Course Objective |
This course examines the theory, research, and practice of psychology with regard to psychological consequences of traumatic events which are wars, natural disasters, physical violence, neglect, sexual abuse or accidents. In this frame, stress, stressor, trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), acute stress disorder (ASD), depression after trauma, adjustment to loss or death, crises, mourning, coping strategies, psychological hardiness, treatment and prevention strategies are going to be handled in this course. |
