Course Objective

The objective of this course is to provide an overview of maritime business administration in the context of global logistics and supply chain.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain what business is and how it is operated within different economic systems 2   Identify the basic forms of business ownership 3   Identify the skills required for management success, outline the functions of management objectives and list the functions of management. 4   To understand the characteristics of the maritime businesses in the context of global logistics and supply chain. 5   To understand the marketing and financial environment and functions of maritime businesses.
