Course Objective

To make the students acquire the theoretical knowledge about ethics and its subbranch media ethics which has been so popular recently. To improve the critical view of students by changing their passive form against the message to active. To create awareness on students about the effects of visual expressions and visual culture.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   have the knowledge about ethics, morals, media ethics,e students who,
2   have the knowledge about ethics, morals, media ethics,
3   know the history of media ethics in our country and in the world,
4   improve a critical view against the message via media,
5   have the knowledge of how to use and produce the visual phenomenon and their social, cultural, and political effects.

4 National and internationsal development stages of media ethics. And to form the classical codes.
5 The functions of classical codes of media ethics and observing examples.
6 Basic questions about media ethics.
7 Ethical problems of journalism
8 Relationship between News process and ethics
9 The structure of owing the media, monopolisation, ethics
10 The relationship of commercials, media, ande ethics
11 The messages of media, practising the media ethics
12 Practical structures og media ethics
13 Mid-term exam
14 Media ethics, watching a film about media critics. discussion
