Course Objective

This course aims to study the search of style in cinema of Turkey in historical perspective and focus on the stylistic tendencies of main film directors after 1990s. Routines and new aspects of contemporary Turkish cinema will be dealt with ongoing discussions to understand the current situtation of cinema.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

2   2. Be able to identify the main aspects of the style in films,
3   3. Have information on the certain periods of stylistic search in the cinema of Turkey.
4   4. Being able to relate information in relation with the world cinema.
5   5. Being able to generate ideas on the cinema of Turkey post-1990.
