Course Objective

It is inevitable the relationship between cinema and other art disciplines mainly literature. History of cinema is substantially the history of adaptations. Because of that, to have a general knowledge on adaptations made from literature to cinema would enrich the world of movie maker while creating a new text from its elder version. The course helps to be learnt of methods, techniques and analysis about approaches of adaptation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learn adaptation works made to cinema from different art disciplines,
2   Comprehend methods of adaptation,
3   Evaluation of the difference between language of cinema and language of other disciplines such as literature,
4   Make analysis and evaluations about adaptations made from literature to cinema,
5   Comprehend the difference between the world of author and the world of scriptwriter/director.
