Course Objective

Considering the basic rules of Cinema Image and Photography, the course aims at describing their reflection to cinema and re-production. Additional elements in the creation of the composition (eg, such as color information) will be taught in order to enable the student to shoot with a true knowledge of framing and composition.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to use the composition and lighting in the Renaissance Art Of Drawing, in the student s Self-made visuals.
2   Ability to create space with the camera and establish a correct composition.
3   Ability to create ambience with illustrations from world cinema
4   Ability to criticize the existing visuals
5   Ability to compare Turkish and World cinemas visual perceptions
6   Ability to establish correctly the impact of the image color knowledge on the audience.
7   Ability to establish awareness of a sense of rhythm within the image.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Courses:

The teacher provides knowledge about visual history and directs the students to make a Project on the basis of this knowledge and demands that examples will be filmed.

The encountered practical skills met during the application studio practices and project development phase, will be shown in practice by the instructor, in the first and the last hour of the course each week. The participation of students in class discussions, and presentation of their ideas and views on the preparation of projects will be encouraged significantly.

Applications
Students will be requested to apply the editing technique taught within the framework of the lecture .
In the process of application and project, students will be informed through a model Project, about the method they should use in the production phase .

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

1- The student will create a scene on the basis of a previously demanded drawing.
2-The student will make n oral and written presentation for a chosen topic.
3. Marks obtained by student participation will depend on , (1) the state of attendance, (2) the student's answers to the questions asked by the instructor during the class and quality of project work in the classroom (3) the student's contribution for the creation of a positive learning environment.

Assessment Criteria

1-.Attendance in lectures, understanding and abilty in applications will be considered.

Course Policies and Rules

1. Attendance of 70% is obligatory.
2. Unattendance of the course will not be considered as a valid excuse for the homework assignments and projects that are submitted late.
3.Delayed Project: for each day of delay the final mark will be reduced by the equivalent to a letter grade .
