Course Objective

Through theory and practice discussing with students, specially about aesthetic, content and creative dimension of film genre. In context of film genre and staging encourage, lead and test the creativity of the student.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Watch selected parts of movie in the context of digital culture, realize and discuss about it,
To encourage students creativity by making practical work in the context of the course,
Based on the different movie samples to examine the narrative techniques,
Based on the different film genres to examine the narrative techniques,
To understand and discuss about how film director is creating the film genre,
Shoting in the above-mentioned context and while doing it explore the business rules, the aesthetic and technical dimension of making film.
At the end of the semester assignments must be submitted depending on this coverage.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Based on a theoretical and practical teach through semester student prepares his own work for the end of the period. This work and class participation is evaluation at the end of the semester.

Assessment Criteria

Practical work, class participation, workshops and projects are the most important factors in creating opinion about students capability.

Course Policies and Rules

Timely delivery of practical work is essential. The student is encouraged and if it s necessary especially directed to the creative aspects. All the relevant information required about delivery of the practical project will be given two months before deadline (at least). Those students who did not deliver practical project on deadline will not be accepted. During the course the student's participation in the theoretical or practical studies are monitored and evaluated at the end of the period.
