Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the students in Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Department how to use computers and design programs for their projects, researches and presentations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be informed about the manner of work of vector-based and pixel-based programs also 3D ( Three dimensional ) design programs.
2   be informed of the functions of a vector-based design program's tools and menus,
3   Able to draw a motif on a vector-based design program.
4   Able to create and edit compositions on a vector-based design program.
5   Able to draw scaled plans on a vector-based design program.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The instructor introduces the students the working principles of the programs to be used for research and project preparations, the differences among programs, the functions of menus and instruments by means of Traditional Turkish Crafts Department projects, and he expects the students to do the same applications.

Attention is paid to the correct use of definitions, descriptions and terms made in the course of assessment. And also it is observed that the practices that have been done in practice studies have been learned and not learned.
