Course Objective


The aim of the course is to support students in their artistic work in their chosen field of specialisation on an academical level and to make them carry out design and application work in addition to the Diploma Graduation Project course.

1   To have had Access to the written sources on fabric design,
2   To be able to quote information from the accessed sources in line with their work
3   To be able to determine design problems related to their projects,
4   To be able to create original designs in their chosen area of work,
5   To be able to see the finished product versions of their designs.

Study sources will differ according to the example that students prefer to work on. Fort his reason, students will first carry out a bibliographic research.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

In the course, after scanning the the literature and visual data related to the geographical area of work, fabric printing techniques and printing design rules will be analyised and original designs will be carried out accordingly.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

All the work carried out by the student will be evaluated as a single Project, to be presented to a jury. Student s performance during presentation and his/her work will be evaluated seperately.

Assessment Criteria

Project work and the presentation performance will be evaluated seperately on 100 points basis. %60 of the Project points and %40 of the performance points will add up to the final result.
