Course Objective

The aim is to inform the students on tapestry and gobelin weavings. Also, some design patterns which are suitable for tapestry weaving technique will be made within the scope of a selected theme.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   have the information about the history of tapestry weavings,
2   have the information about the tapestry weaving technique,
3   produce original pattern designs for a selected subject,
4   foresee the output form of the pattern design they have planned,
5   represent the pattern design(s) they have accomplished effectively.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

In the course, a research file will be prepared after a detailed research and examination about tapestry weavings. After that, a tapestry design will be made in accordance with the selected subject.

The compulsory attendance is 80%.
Before the end of the term, in the last 15 days, students will be able to learn their attendance. Students having absenteeism over 80% won t be accepted to the final exam.
Students who are on sick leave will be considered absent.
