Course Objective

To understand cell behaviour at molecular level, molecular basis of genetic disorders and cancer, stem cell, immunology, genomics, bioinformatics and proteomics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To describe the cytoskeleton and the roles of cell-cell, cell-ECM and niche on the disease formation and/or progression
2   To have general knowledge about signal transduction and control, cell cycle and cell death.
3   Describes the molecular basis of cancer and immunology.
4   To be able to discuss general concepts of molecular genetics and to describe how to discover disease-related genes.
5   To get know about human stem cells, human genome projects and contributions to medicine.
6   To have general knowledge about bioinformatic databases and their usage.
7   To have general knowledge about genomics, proteomics and their applications.
8   To be able to get and discuss the articles related subject areas.
