Course Objective

Students will obtain the basic design knowledge in accordance with producing a ceramic clay body. Students will obtain, through an introduction of clay and raw materials specific to ceramics, the understanding of specified clay types. Students will understand and utilize the triangle diagram as well as calculations of chemical and mineralogical compounds to produce specific clay bodies. Students will obtain the theoretical and applied research knowledge to test and analyze an intended product.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to know varieties of clay, oxside and raw materials, chemical and minorolojik accounts
2   to make theoretical research on chosen clay body.
3   to make a clays at various ratios with selected raw materials in line with the triangle diagram
4   to make a report with chosen clay body.
5   to form three dimensional ceramics works with that clay bodies.
