Course Objective

To present new approach on the interior space textiles which are having different creation and compositions and reformist designs in the light of weaving design and basic design principles . In the Project that applications and designments will be prepared on the sample looms with armure basic weave, extra yarn and two layer fabric structures have to be used. It s aimed that the student can make all the calculations of the production and all the preparation stages of the weaving design at the end of the Project that is affected by the tendencies and the determined subjects .

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Make a realistic and true investigation that will direct to the final about the determined subject and tendency
2   Present the investigation in the light of the Project
3   Prepare two layer weaving designs
4   Prepare the production reports of the designs after the sketches in order to apply on the weaving looms with armure
5   Produce the design which the production calculations are ready for on the sample loom with armure
6   Let the Projectwhich the designs and production is occured have alternative properties for interior textiles
7   Present and defense own ideas , sketchess, drawing and dying technics of sketches, designs , production methods , presentation of the Project and himself purely

1 Brain storming on Woven fabric designs for interior , applications and informing about necessary instruments together with the students
2 Investigation on yhe library and visiual materials that is continuing and inspires about the determined subject
3 To start the story panel , sketch work and presentation of Powerpoint which student `s study on determined subject

6 Work on sketches, presentation of story panel , reviewing and to determine the proper sketches for design

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

-Lessons
Instructor let the student work onthe investigation on point of origins of designment . instruments and application methods , presentation styles and its planning

-Review of sketches and arguments
Reviewing of the sketches in the light of the information obtained by the investigations become important . Instructor gives a direction to the student with examples about designs and structures on the subject , different dying technics and materials used ,and reformist and creativist instruments that production technics were not considered.

- Application
Production calculations and texture and fabric structure choices made by students are controlled by the instructor . To search the solutions fort he problems which may occur during production .

Assessment Criteria

- A Project including creative and reformist ideas to be used interior space and in conformity with the basic design principles and weaving design factors
- -It is expected that the student can make sketches and investigations (2) ,Powerpoint presentations of the investigations (3) prepare the sheets of prodesigns (4) to prepare design sheets in aggregation with the subject (5) to prepare story panel including designs and applications (6) which all are the contents of the determined weaving design Project and to present and defence the own project .in the weaving design Project (1)

1. It s necessary to attend 80% of the lecture
2. Every piracy/plagiarism attempt/trial will be end with diciplinary punishment
