Course Objective

At the end of this course, students will be able to understand the game`s phenomenon process from the human being was exist till now, the facts that influenced the game`s styles in different societies.

1   To learn life styles of first human beings and transition to settled life
2   To examine games that were played during first civilizations
3   To comprehend How games turned to sport
4   To examine the perception of sport and sport facilities in Ancient Greek and Roman time
5   To comprehend what was sport phenomenon middle and new age
6   To know the foundation and cancellation reasons of ancient Olympics which was started in ancient Greek and To understand how modern Olympics was established, Its` objectives and how Olympics organize nowadays.

2 The sport in Indians ,Chinese, Persians and old Turkish civilizations
3 The sport in Sumerian, King of Assyria , Hittite and Egyptian civilizations
4 Sport in Crete
5 Perception of sport in ancient Greek, sport facilities and education
6 Types of sports and its` implementations in ancient Greek and changes in sport concept
7 Ancient Olympics which started with ancient Greeks
8 Sport concept, sport types and sport facilities in Ancient Roman and gladiator fights
9 The cancellation reasons of ancient Olympics
10 The knowledge of ancient sport facilities in west Anatolia
11 The concept of sport in Middle Ageand New Age
12 The concept of sport in the period of republics in Turkey
