Course Objective

Understand the etiology and pathology, study illness symptoms and secondary problems which may occur, identify problem based evaluation and treatment principles in stroke.

1 Epidemiology, pathophysiology, neurophysiology and neuroimagining of stroke and factors effect on treatment
2 Neurophysiologic bases of stroke treatments, apraxsi, aphasia, swallow disorders, visual, occulomotor and vestibular deficits.
3 Post stroke pain, sensorymotor deficits and treatments, post stroke locomotor recovery patterns, task oriented education
4 Post stroke pain, sensorymotor deficits and treatments, post stroke locomotor recovery patterns, task oriented education
5 Post stroke recovery and rehabilitation of gait and balance, prevention of deconditioning
6 Physiology and treatment of spasticity, shoulder pain and other musculoskeletal complications
