Course Objective

Objectives of this course are to teach the students basic skills (pass delivery, pass reception, dribbling), to make the students be able to correct the mistakes and to make the students be able to prepare unit training programs for young players taking place in development level.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Mastering the importance of pass delivery and pass reception, and understanding the progressive teaching of pass types
2   Understanding the importance of dribbling and the progressive teaching of dribbling types, and executing and teaching the dribbling types well
3   Understanding the importance of shooting and the progressive teaching of shooting types, executing and teaching the dribbling types.
4   Mastering the importance of attack rebound and defence rebound in winning or losing the game.
5   Understanding the progressive teaching of attack rebound and defence rebound; executing and teaching these rebound types.

Course Contents

1 Pass delivery and pass reception with one and two hands
2 Dribbling: normal (high) dribbling, low dribbling
3 Dribbling with changing speed. Dribbling with changing direction.
4 Dribbling with changing hands in front. Dribbling with changing hands between the legs.
5 Dribbling with changing hands behind. Reverse.
6 Shooting. Layup with right hand
7 Layup with left hand.
8 Layup with right and left hand. Shooting (Free Throw)
9 Jump Shot (after pass reception)
10 Jump Shot (after dribbling)
11 Jump Shot, hook shot.
12 Rebound: attack rebound and defence rebound
