Course Objective

To train professional nurses who has extensive knowledge for providing a healthy and safe workplace, develops programs in health care management, contributes to the field by doing scientific research, and takes the lead in solving problems

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   S/he explains occupational health and the aims of occupational health nursing services
2   S/he explains the parties related to occupational health
3   S/he explains the history and development of occupational health and nursing
4   S/he explains the national and international legal regulation related to occupation and occupational health
5   S/he explains the relationship between occupation and health
6   S/he can define the risks it the workplaces and apply proper practices
7   S/he can plan health protection and improvement programs for workplaces
8   S/he discusses several factors affecting the practice of occupational health nursing by using the occupational health nursing conceptual model
9   S/he explains and discusses the roles and functions of occupational health nurses.
10   S/he knows the privileged risk groups and the necessary precautions
11   S/he can develop solutions stemming from workplaces by using nursing process.
12   S/he explains the significance of records in occupational health services
13   S/he explains the ethical principles of occupational health nursing practices
