Course Objective

The general goal of painting is to gain individuals who have spiritual and visual vision about art, who are questioning, self-confident, capable of commenting, sensitive and creative.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   .to improve visual and mental vision
2   . to get in contact with art, artist and artwork effectively and consciously.
3   to make basic formal elements such as proportion, composition, color and size, light and shadow and perspective use suitable.
4   to apply different techniques with materials and to enrich perception of form and shape.
5   to support researches through experimental applications of the material.
6   to be an individual who is logically, emotionally and mentally aware through artistic production.
7   to contribute student's creativity and help to use artistic perception in daily life.

Assessment Criteria

Meeting with artists in order to communicate effectively with art and artist. Attendance to exhibition, performance and other activities will be ensured; It will be evaluated with duties and projects that will be given.
Gaining habits, awareness with art, improving vision will be supported with necessary visual and theorical presentations and these will evaluated in the end of the term.
