Course Objective

The purpose of the course will be based on conceptual base. Also, to create shocking and provocative and questioning works with presentation style and to transfer the whole of the theoretical and practical knowledge to the works in this course are the other aims.

1   To be able to offer new propositions related to the field, be open to new ideas
2   To be able to communicate with the contemporary arts.
3   To be able to master the applicability of art and design in life
4   To be able to think unlimited, create and experience for different directions
5   To be able to communicate with different disciplines and to give new meanings and perspectives to their works
6   To be able to present, to prepare applied projects creatively by using different materials and use the theoretical knowledge acquired at mastered level

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Meeting stage and introduction. Brief examination of experimental design from past to today. Instructions about how to choose and research topics. Explanations about how to apply researches into practice and continuity of design process. Introduction, explanation of the course content, and expectations for the semester
2 Giving directions to the students one by one about how to build project concept. Defining the research paper topics and discussion with the students to assign their choices.
3 Suggestions for project draft. Critique of research paper.
4 Sketches on the project and critique of research paper.
5 Working on project mockup. Election of right media and material.
6 Developing sketches into comps
7 Research paper submission and seminar
8 Finalizing the first project and exhibition
9 Suggestion for the second project
10 Sketches on the project and critique of research paper.
11 Alternatives about the design
