Course Objective

In the process of transition from modern to postmodern, rhythm of transformation of fashion and relationship to its process .

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Having knowledge about the concepts, principles and definition of fashion.
2   Having fund of cultural information about fashion.
3   Having knowledge about the key factors in the evolution of contemporary fashion.
4   Having knowledge about the cycle and processes of modern fashion.
5   Being able to analyze, interpret and evaluate modern, post-modern fashion process with the concepts of change and present .
6   Being able to make scientific research, presentation, analysis and criticism on fashion.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Research subjects and sources are given to the students by the lecturer in the first week of the term. The lecturer gives information about the subject by using lecture notes from various sources and visual presentation. During the rest four weeks, students present their research subjects as a lecture by using visual presentation and lecture notes from various sources.

Assessment Criteria

Students abilities of making presentation of their research subjects by reviewing the literature, gathering data, compiling, analysing and reporting the conclusion are evaluated with the reports they prepared, their presentations and final exam.
