Course Objective

It is aimed to provide students a holistic understanding of ethical issues in business, discussion of current issues in business ethics, the development of a moral frame of reference and the need for an awareness of social justice in management practices and business activities and explain how business, government and society function as an interactive system.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understand the theories of moral reasoning and argumentation that are needed to analyze the ethical issues in business.
2   Be able to identify ethical issues in the context of business decision making.
3   Recognize and give weight to ethical considerations in light of business operations.
4   Discuss the ethical issues inherent in the rapid changes in business, including information technology and environmental degradation.
5   Develop and enhance the essential interpersonal skills to be an effective team member.
