Course Objective

In this course, the Roman-Early Christian and Early Byzantine wall paintings in Anatolia and Anatolia through examples of non-technical, stylistic and iconographic analysis is intended to initially. In addition, during and after Ikonoclasm understanding of the changing decoration, and accompanied by examples of the new program by examining the image, depicting the effect on the period discussed. Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   General definition of Byzantine painting art, and production techniques are explained. Discuss the similarities and differences according to different periods.
2   Image examples of Byzantine periods, to evaluate in terms of the iconographic and stylistic features.
3   Byzantine painting of the period of political, social, religious, economic, and artistic dimensions to evaluate all of the mind.
4   To transfer their savings to the science museum
5   Painting the topics covered in the Byzantine period, taking into account the political, social, religious, economic, and discusses the status of art.
