Course Objective

This course aims at encouraging students for studying on themes of Old and New Testaments, interpreting their influence on art, and analysis and comprehension of character of scenes from Old and New Testaments depicted in monumental paintings or other minor works

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Based on the works of the resources to define the subject of painting. 2   Explain the basic features of the works on religious subjects according to time periods. 3   A work of art, able to detect the pre-iconographic description, iconographic analysis and interpretation 4   The descriptions in the works of religious art on the status of the political and artistic debates. 5   Stone, metal, ivory and different materials such as wood, Illustration of the figure, the striking scenes on religious subjects to distinguish and interpret differences and similarities.
