Course Objective

The aim of the course is to evaluate the relationship between the Turkish and European cultures on the basis of philology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To use the new perspective they have gained on the relationship between the Turkish and European cultures.
2   To determine the Turkish borrowings in the European languages.
3   To assess the cultural elements in the European languages borrowed from Turkish.
4   To analyze the cultural relationship between Turkish and non- European cultures.
5   To relate Turkish with Indo-European languages.
