Course Objective

The aim of this course is to study sexuality, power and order in Foucault `s geneological investigations and to analyze Foucault s concepts in their systematical unity.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, the student will be able; to use Foucault's concepts.
2   to analyze the relation of biological and institutional practices like power, sexuality and discipline.
3   to use a theoretical frame that serves as interpretation tool for structural and post-structural literary texts.
4   to use his/her critical perspective.
5   to do analysis and synthesis on Foucault s thought.
