Course Objective

The objective of this course is to distinguish gender and power mechanisms that are inherent in literature.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To distinguish the gender roles inherent in literature and the rejective attitude of counter-discourse towards this deadlocked patterns.
2   To recognize the critique of patriarchy inherent in literature.
3   To recognize that the other is being bunched in motifs by gender.
4   To analyze race and class in literature by means of gender and power mechanisms.
5   To recognize the history of sexism in World Literature by text analysis.
