Course Objective

The objective of this course is to give the students the ability to evaluate texts critically in terms of psychoanalytic theory after they grasp the relationship among language, psychoanalysis, and literature.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To use his/her knowledge about the main theorists in the history of psychoanalysis
2   To analyze the relations between literature, language and psychoanalysis.
3   To discuss shared and different views between psychoanalysis, psychiatry and philosphy.
4   To follow publications concerning psychoanalysis.
5   To prepare papers on psychoanalytic text analysis.
