Course Objective

The objective of this course is to study how the historical events and theircontemporary ideologies reflect upon literary works, thus to make comparative literature students to comprehend how these works were fictionalized and shaped within the frame of that period s effective ideologies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To relate ideology and literature with each other.
2   To analyze from which perspective the historical events are made subject to literary works.
3   To examine the function of ideologies on literary works and the function of literary works on ideologies.
4   To use their skills in reading literary works.
5   To use theoretical perspective in order to analayze and compare the fiction-reality relationship.
