Course Objective

The objective of this class is to introduce the Literature of Weimar Republic as a period in German Literature and to study the characteristics of classical modernity.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To distinguish the characteristics of the Literature of Weimar Republic within the scope of German Literature,
2   To distinguish the characteristics of classical modernity,
3   To research the traces of classical modernity in related works,
4   To introduce the major novels of the aforementioned period,
5   To associate the Literature of Weimar Republic with the Western Literatures.
