Course Objective

Definition of cancer, cancer development, genetic predisposition, environmental influences, microbiology and cancer, history of cancer epidemiology, cancer epidemiology in world , cancer epidemiology in Turkey, fundamental cancer epidemiology epidemiological outcomes of cancer and clinical cancer relations whole genome analysis and the translation to systems biology will be discussed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognize and understand the general outline of carcinogenesis.
2   Be able to know the cancer epidemiology.
3   Be able to critically evaluate the published literature in the field of the epidemiology
4   Interprets the research results in cancer epidemiology
5   Be able to know of the general outline of molecular epidemiology
6   Recognize and understand the translation from the whole genome analysis and systems biology to clinical outcomes.
