Course Objective

Explain, evaluate, and apply the basic concepts and strategies of production, the performance relation between quality and process, project capacity, project layout, planning and management of the project. Emphasis is given to quantitative analysis of problems arising in the management of production systems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course the student will be able to explain, evaluate, and apply the basic concepts and strategies of production, the performance relation between quality and process, project capacity, project layout, planning and management of the project.
2   Learning quantitative analysis of problems arising in the management of production systems.
3   To interpret the management decisions in the production/operations function.
4   To recognize both the qualitative and quantitative methods and tools used in management of production and service processes.
5   To solve the problems encountered in production processes.
