Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to apply the basic processes used in inorganic chemistry laboratory, synthesize and purify the inorganic chemical substances, interpret the experimental results.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Apply the basic processes used in inorganic chemistry laboratory and interpret the effect of concentration on equilibrium for inorganic compounds.
2   Obtain the chlorine and calculate the empirical formula for hydrated compounds.
3   Apply symmetry operations
4   Synthesize ammonium iron (II) sulfate hexahydrate which is a double salt and potassium monochlorochromate complex salt.
5   Synthesize boric acid and sodium peroxoborate.
6   Prepare a chemical indicator using the red cabbage.
7   Synthesize calcium peroxideoctahydrate.
8   Synthesize sodium thiosulfate.
