Course Objective

The objective of this course is to develop in depth the theory, scope, and limitations of some commonly applied instrumental techniques of chemical analysis.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students are expected to develop a full understanding of instrumental techniques, for choice of method depending on the sample understand how various settings impact our analytical signal/results.
2   Can solve the problems related with the experimental procedure and problems regarding sample.
3   Students are expected to use the atomic and molecular spectroscopic techniques for analysis purposes.Can choose the proper statistical analysis technique for evaluation of the experimental data.
4   Students are expected to plan a proper experimental set up depending on analyte, can make interpretations on the method, can compare the method with other alternative methods, can perform calculations and can submit the results as a report.
5   Students have information regarding risks and potential hazards of chemicals and consider environmental protection rules.
