Course Objective

The goal of this course is to introduce students to topics in economics that are related to inequality, poverty and discrimination.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. Understand the major causes of poverty 2   2. Discuss and analyze the different poverty alleviation policies 3   3. Understand and describe the major trends in economic inequality 4   4. Understand the primary theories of discrimination in the labor market.
