Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to provide the student with information about effects, side effects, interactions, pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic properties of drugs used to treat various system diseases in application fields and responsibilities of nurses in pharmaceutical applications.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student knows the basic concepts of pharmacology; drug administration routes, drug types, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of drugs
2   The student can discuss the effects and side effects of drugs used in treatment.
3   The student can monitor the effects and side effects of drugs given to the patient
4   The student can give training to the patient and patient s family regarding drug treatment
5   The student knows the responsibilities of nurses in drug administration.
6   The student can follow new developments in pharmacology.
