Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to teach the student the voice and breathing techniques, and allow students to gain the skills of intelligible voice production (articulating), correct syllable emphasis, proper sentence formation, supporting speech with body language and making effective rhetoric plans (presentation).

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student learns to correctly pronounce all sounds in terms of phonology.
2   The student knows the proper, fluent and intelligible speaking techniques.
3   The student knows the proper use of body language
4   The student can express himself/herself effectively.
5   The student can make effective public presentations.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

The intra-semester grade consists of two midterm exams. The assignments submitted by students are evaluated as the 1st and 2nd Midterm grade.
The semester grade consists of 60% of the intra-semester grade and 40% of the Final exam.

Assessment Criteria

The students will be evaluated based on their ability to reflect the learning outcomes of the course.
