Course Objective

It is aimed for students to learn theoretical knowledge and literature about main international monetary issues such as balance of payments and foreign exchange markets and to analyze Turkish economy and produce policy recommendations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to get theoretical knowledge and actual literature on balance of payments.
2   To be able to analyze Turkey's balance of payments.
3   To be able to produce alternative policy recommendations against Turkey's current account deficits.
4   To be able to get theoretical knowledge and actual literature on foreign exchange rate systems and exchange rates policies.
5   To be able to analyze foreign exchange rate crisis by considering foreign exchange rate systems and policies applied in both Turkey and the World.
