Course Objective

Strategic management is a necessity for the companies to keep their operations effective in a more intensive competitive environment accompanied by globalization. Since globalization carried competition into a world wide dimension, it is important to have adequate knowledge about strategic management for the company managers / management candidates. In this context, the purpose of that course is to provide the necessary information about strategic management which is one of the core instruments for the companies to form and maintain their strategic structures.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Having knowledge about theoritical framework, dimensions and the factors that affect globalization and globalization process.
2   Digesting what global strategies are.
3   Having knowledge about the theoritical framework of strategic management.
4   Gaining knowledge and skill to understand strategy development process and to do strategic analysis (defining goals, targets and objectives; external and internal analysis).
5   Having knowledge about applying strategies.
6   Learning how to evaulate and control strategic outcomes.
